We held our second meeting of the season on Wednesday 12th November at Froxfield Village Hall and our speaker for the evening was Roger Hirons who gave us a very informative talk on the winter garden and putting the garden to bed. As he was fitting 2 talks into 1 he spoke a bit like a“1,000 miles an hour” to fit everything in but we all learnt a lot from his garden tips and information!

We are holding our Christmas meeting on Tuesday 9th December at Privett Village Hall at 7.30pm. Our speaker will be Maggie Haynes, who is based at Tuppenny Barn, a garden near Emsworth, which is a charity growing organic produce for earning, provides educational activities, and has a shop selling fresh produce. Maggie is an excellent speaker and the title of her talk is “How to grow vegetablesand flowers with nature”. As this is our Christmas meeting, after Maggie’s talk, and in our usual tradition, we will be serving mulled wine and mince pies. We look forward to welcoming you on 9th December. Visitors are very welcome for a payment of £3.
