As I write this report the farmers and gardeners are in the middle of a serious drought. It is very early in the season for such a dry period of weather to occur, so we all have our fingers crossed that we receive some rain soon!

Our next summer event is our evening visit to The Allotment at The Harrow pub at Sheet by kind permission of Tony Clear on Thursday 19th June at 6.00pm.

Tony grows a field of flowers for cutting, which are sold at The Harrow in aid of The Rosemary Foundation, our local hospice at home. Drinks can be purchased at the pub afterwards. Please contact Pippa Chapman on 07803 906312 or email her on pjmchapman@yahoo.co if you would like to attend.

We are all looking forward to our 2025 Open Garden, which will be held on Saturday 26th July between 2 and 5pm, at Coles, Basingdene Lane, Privett GU34 3PH by kind permission of Mike and Shuna Mackillop-Hall. The Garden Club’s Summer Open Garden is a event not to be missed, with one of our lovely local gardens open for everyone in Froxfield and Privett to visit. So put the date in your diary and come along - there will be tea and homemade cakes, a Pimm’s bar and a plant stall. We look forward to seeing you there!
